Most backyards in greater Los Angeles sit underused — a patch of concrete, a lawn that needs water, and potential that never gets realized. We've spent years turning those spaces into something worth coming home to: pools, outdoor kitchens, pavilions, and landscaping built as one unified project under one roof.
When you hire five different contractors, you get five different timelines, five sets of excuses, and a backyard that looks like it was designed by committee. We handle everything — pools, kitchens, structures, lighting, landscaping — under one contract with one person accountable from first shovel to final stone.
Raised vanishing-edge pools, elevated spas, black mosaic tile coping, stone veneer walls, and white river rock surrounds. We design for drama and build for decades.
Covered pavilions with professional-grade grills, deep sinks, under-counter refrigerators, fire tables, and quartz countertops — built to withstand the elements without sacrificing style.
Elevated wood decks, large-format concrete patios, and flagstone terraces. Engineered for hillside lots, slab foundations, and properties with challenging grades.
Recessed pavilion lighting, in-pool and in-spa LEDs, wall uplighting, and pathway lighting. The right lighting turns a nice backyard into one you use every evening.
Artificial turf, drought-tolerant palms and perimeter planting, retaining walls, concrete flatwork, and full yard grading — from bare dirt to resort finish.
Custom-built covered structures with tongue-and-groove wood ceilings, recessed lighting, and structural framing designed to last without ongoing maintenance headaches.
Every project below started as a flat, underused backyard. What you see is what happens when design and construction are handled by the same team, from the first sketch to the final stone.

A backyard transformation is more complex than most people expect — permitting, engineering, multiple trades. Here's how we manage it so you don't have to.
We walk the yard with you, talk through how you actually want to use the space, and assess what the property allows — utilities, grades, setbacks, soil conditions. No guessing, no surprises later.
We lay out the full scope — pool shape and depth, spa placement, pavilion footprint, kitchen configuration, lighting plan, and landscaping — so you can see the finished result before a shovel hits the ground.
Pool and outdoor structure permits in Los Angeles require structural engineering, Title 24 compliance, and often multiple city departments. We handle all of it — submittals, corrections, inspections — start to finish.
Dig day is the most dramatic — the pool shell takes shape fast. We coordinate excavation, gunite or shotcrete application, plumbing rough-in, and electrical for the pool and pavilion simultaneously to avoid delays.
This is where the design comes to life. Coping tile, stone veneer walls, river rock, deck flatwork, and outdoor kitchen framing all go in during this phase — the most detail-intensive part of the build.
Pool equipment commissioning, LED lighting, pavilion electrical, and final planting. We don't hand off the yard until the water is balanced, the lights are programmed, and the space looks exactly as designed.
Free, no-pressure consultation within 72 hours. We'll come to your home, talk through what's possible, and give you a real timeline and budget.
We've received your form and will be in touch within 24 working hours to talk about your project.

A to Z did a fantastic job with our kitchen remodel. We have a 100-year-old Spanish style home and wanted to keep a lot of the original elements — Zack and Rami really listened and helped us figure out how to get it just right. Couldn't be happier with our new kitchen.Tess L.Kitchen Remodel · Los Angeles · Yelp
A to Z built a beautiful ADU in our backyard. The project was on budget and the results were better than we had hoped. Rami and Zack were a consistent and communicative presence at the job site. We looked at 10 firms in total and are so pleased we chose A to Z.Robert R.ADU Build · Sherman Oaks · Yelp
A to Z, lead by Rami and Zach, are the absolute best. My bathroom remodel was complicated and they worked meticulously to make our vision a reality. They communicated well, showed up on time, left the work site clean every day. No problem was too hard and the work they did was beautiful.Abby H.Bathroom Remodel · Agoura Hills · Yelp
We interviewed several contractors and hired A to Z. Couldn't be more pleased with the results! Two bathrooms, new lighting, a new roof, HVAC, windows, flooring, and paint. From the start they gave us clear and honest advice, and the work speaks for itself. Highly recommended!!Justin M.Full Home Renovation · Woodland Hills · Yelp
I have used A to Z's services twice. Most recently they rebuilt my home after a house fire. The estimates were reasonable and thorough. Many of the skilled workers on the A to Z team have been with the company for years and it's clear they take pride in their work. Their estimates are honest.Natalie PanaiaHome Rebuild · Local Guide · Google
Zack, Rami and their crew did a fantastic job! Full renovation for two 1950's bathrooms that came out beautifully. Reasonable price especially in comparison to the other company I contacted. Trustworthy company with frequent updates from Zack who also provided invaluable input and suggestions. Highly recommend!Karen KuratsuDual Bathroom Remodel · Google
